he walked thru the thin strip of trees and stepped onto a large , well manicured lawn. There was a riding lawnmower making a tremendous racket, and a thick black smoke was pouring out of it profusely. Back and forth went the machine.. all the while a man sat on the mower, listening to music on headphones. He had on goggles, gloves, and a mask. gnat smiled and waved to him. The man saw him but didnt wave back.. gnat would soon learn that few people ever waved back in Babel Land ..
Centered in the middle of this vast lawn was a house clad in pink vinyl with no windows, just shutters and a door. the door was open so he went inside and the first thing gnat noticed was the temperature.. It was on the warm side.. there was a big fire in the fireplace and the window airconditioner was on full blast.. One whole wall was a TV screen. and it showed rapid fire images which were gone before you could tell what was going on... but the images had themes.. one theme was violence, another was crime, and so on... negative emotions a dystopia if you will.. mixed with that were images of pristene nature which contrasted totally with what he'd actually just seen outside ..
He went out on the driveway to where there was a humongous red car with huge green tail fins..not a scratch on it, it stood 20 feet tall .. the engine was straining at high rpm's .. he went around to the rear of the vehicle and saw the exhaust pipe..nearly a foot in diameter and belching out a black smoke and the pipe itself was red hot
..the smoke was making him dizzy ..the smoke was hanging ower the yard make itr difficult to breath ,,, the sun was beating down and the temperature was well over hundred . . .gnat had never experienced it so hot , , ,. . ....then the home owner, still in his mowing gear , , , , ,came around the house brandishing a shotgun , ,, ....

then he tripped on somethimg and fired the shotgun into the ground .. . .
